This is a service where we can provide and source materials for you at a minimum fee of £100.00 + VAT per hour. The account is set up with 6 hours of SCIN time. A SCIN account holder may borrow material samples for presentation to clients or to simply see and explore prior to specification. SCIN gives you Instant access and use of some amazing materials without the worry or hassle of waiting for samples to arrive on time. The facilities and library are available for you to come along and brainstorm with the team or the client. Just open the drawers of the library and rummage. A SCIN material expert could also be on hand to help and advise. This is a highly valuable, constructive and inspirational use of time. Statements are sent on a monthly basis to help you keep track of time.
SCIN will play host to you and your team/clients (up to 14) at our showroom. We will present a materials topic you would like in a workshop style format.
This is a highly informal, lively, inspiration hour with slides and materials. There is then an opportunity to remain in the showroom and use it for your own presentation or discussion about projects with materials on hand to look at and discuss. The fee is £400 for a morning or afternoon slot at the showroom and includes 45 minutes to an hour presentation on materials. We can also do this at your offices.
SCIN will create a library of materials specific to your exact requirements and accessed through your shortcut tool on any of your desktops.
Your virtual library or database would contain materials and also may include kitchen and bathroom appliances, ironmongery, M+E including lighting and alarms, furniture and accessories and window treatments. The database would be set up in keyword categories to suit the type of projects you carry out or design possibly sub categorized with budget constraints and with options to switch elements on and off. The selected products could then be project tagged to simplify the administration and aid in decision making by having all possible and then selected materials and products together.
This database is a great way to have all your frequently used or favourite materials and products in one place, automatically creating a simple archive. We will also send you regular product highlights that may be suitable for you - we act as your eyes and ears.
There is an initial set up fee starting at £3000 depending on the complexity of the database, then a charge per item uploaded. Typical charge is £100 plus per item uploaded. This includes the research on the item and simple report including description, use, fire rating, price, installation, maintenance, lead in time any other relevant specifications and an image.
